This episode of Meet the Thriller Author is a little different than usual. Instead of sitting down with a guest, I wanted to take a few minutes to chat with you directly, and to look back on 2025 and share what’s coming next for the podcast in 2026.
Last year, I had the chance to interview 20 thriller authors across a wide range of genres, from psychological and domestic thrillers to crime fiction, police procedurals, historical thrillers, and legal thrillers. I talked with both indie and traditionally published authors, and along the way, I learned a lot about what’s working, what surprised me, and why the current pace of the podcast has been such a good fit.

I also share a quick update on my own writing. In 2025, I released The Casual Date and The Good Mother, and I’m incredibly grateful for how well those books have connected with readers. I talk briefly about what I’m working on now and what’s coming next on the fiction side.
Toward the end of the episode, I highlight a few standout books by authors I interviewed in 2025—including J.A. Jance, Daniel Hurst, and Ty Hutchinson—and point you to those episodes if you’d like to hear those conversations.
If you’ve been listening to the podcast for a while, or if you’re new and curious about what’s ahead, this episode gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the show and where it’s headed.
Regular author interviews return in February 2026. Thanks, as always, for listening and for being part of this community.
